I use the term MUTTS  as a title of Love and Respect for all K-9s. Dogs give us so much. This article is particular to sufferers of PTSD. Dogs create an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity , for those suffering from this dreaded affliction. Both DND and Canada’s Veterans Affairs should be investing funds in training and placing dogs where necessary, at NO COST to the person  needing a companion. Therapy and assistance dogs can be MUTTS no BLOODLINES required, making their cost of purchase minimal.

The same should also go for anyone that requires an assistance dog or simply a Therapet.

Keeping with animal news this morning. This tale from HMS Queen Elizabeth certainly shows how animals are viewed in the Forces. Tongue in cheek or not?  https://www.forces.net/news/hms-queen-elizabeths-cat-posted-ashore?utm_source=Forces+Network+Newsletter&utm_campaign=a04123119d-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2018_07_24_03_43&utm_medium=email&utm_term=0_25712c5f6f-a04123119d-438420745

I remember in the early 60s in 1 Tpt Soest Germany we had a Platoon Mascot  Charley Platoon had LUCKY a  terrier. This dog loved to sit on the gas tank of a Triumph as our DR’s rode out on exercise. In 1964 LUCKY received the MIB ( mentioned in Beaver) for the successful Rat Run on the SKC cinema in Ft Chambly. What a ratter.

For members past and present of the RCE.. Canadian Military Engineers. The UK has reinstated  a Specialist Engineer task force: https://www.forces.net/news/specialist-army-engineer-squadron-restored.

Last but by no means LEAST, perhaps this would be an Idea for Canada to lease out transport aircraft to Travel Companies. A way to bring in much needed funds for the military.

Always remember your Military, their families and your Veterans. Wear RED this Friday as a sign of Support.
