Thoughts on my CANADIAN Citizenship and the Liberals ( A Monday RANT)

I deviate today from primarily military issues. I have been pondering all week end about denouncing my Canadian Citizenship. I do realise that no one really cares whether I denounce or do not denounce. However as a Canadian  and a Scots citizen I am allowed my free Opinion.

I am PROUD to have Dual Nationality  Scots by Birth and Canadian by Choice.  I joined the Canadian Army in 1960 as a Dual National, Canada had no problem with that and I note that I know many DUAL Nationals who have served in the Canadian Military, with PRIDE and HONOUR.

The problem currently is a law passed in November 2016 which states a Dual National Canadian MUST HAVE A VALID PASSPORT  but look at this:

Can you use an expired passport to go to Canada?

While Canadian law allows all American citizens entering Canada to show government-issued photo ID (e.g. Driver’s License) and proof of U.S. citizenship such as a U.S. birth certificate, naturalization certificate, or expired U.S. passport to enter, the United States does not accept these documents.
Why may an American Citizen use an expired passport to enter CANADA?

next fact:

Can you have dual citizenship in Canada?

Every country decides whom it considers to be a citizen. If more than one country recognizes you as a citizen, you have dual citizenship. You don’t apply for dual citizenship, and there is no related certificate. Canadians are allowed to take foreign citizenship while keeping their Canadian citizenship.
If this so then why the requirement for 2 Valid Passports ( read Liberal CASH GRAB)
Next this is very interesting:
Do I have to have a passport to go to Canada?  (A  US Citizen does NEED a passport)
From CBSA ” If you are a citizen of the United States, you do not need a passport to enter Canada. However, you should carry proof of your citizenship, such as a birth certificate, certificate of citizenship or naturalization, as well as photo identification.
Can you hold 2 passports at the same time?
People having dual citizenship often have a passport for each country. Dual citizenship or nationality means that a person is a citizen of two countries at the same time.

As a Veteran, A Canadian by Choice, and in my 70s I do not wish to pay the exorbitant amount for a new Canadian Passport at this time in life as MY UK Passport is valid for a further 5 years?
Then this HEADLINE hit the  news this past weekend:
